Leica Geovid 10X42 3200.com HD-B Rangefinder Binocular

$5,690.00

Adding Bluetooth connectivity to smartphones running a companion app and a longer metering range than previous models, the Leica 10x42 Geovid 3200.COM Rangefinder Binocular is the future of hunting, improving accuracy at extreme long range while reducing the amount of gear you need to bring into the field.

Utilizing Bluetooth connectivity puts the memory and computing power of your smartphone to work to take the information provided by you about your rifle and ammo plus Geovid's ranging and sensor data to provide an accurate shooting solution. Additionally, you can include data from a Kestral Elite wind meter for more precision, and solutions and information can even be shared to your Apple Watch for improved ease of use. The range-finding system integrates an inclinometer and ballistics computer with a powerful IR laser to improve first-shot accuracy. Its inclinometer measures the relative angle from you to the target, then combines that with the linear range to provide an adjusted distance to enable you to better judge the hold-over/under. The addition of Leica's Applied Ballistic Compensation system utilizes one of 12 preprogrammed ballistic curves based on common ammunition loads, combined with the adjusted range and environmental conditions, to further improve hold-over/under accuracy. You can also create custom curves on the Leica website and load them onto the Geovid, refining the precision even more. Hold-over/under values can be displayed as the adjusted range, the relative angle, or in MOA/Mils to enable fast click adjustments to riflescope turrets.

Optically, the Geovid utilizes Leica's Perger-Porro prism optical design, which yields the compact form factor of a roof prism with the rich depth of field and limited amount of internal reflective surfaces of a traditional Porro prism. To further improve image quality are P40 phase-correcting prism coatings, an internal baffle system to suppress stray light, and the HDC fully multi-coated optical system that maximizes light transmission while improving color fidelity and contrast. These optical features, combined with a powerful magnification and wide apparent angle of view, produce an optic that is comfortable to use all day, in all weather, and in all light conditions.

Leica employs an open-bridge/dual-hinge design that makes the Geovid lighter and easier to handle without sacrificing strength or stability. Protecting the optics and electronics is a magnesium alloy chassis that is lightweight and durable. The body is wrapped in a protective rubber armor that provides a slip-resistant grip. To withstand the rigors of the trail, the optical tubes are nitrogen filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof, submersible, and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme temperatures and environmental conditions.

CAMOUFLAGE

First Lite patterns obliterate the human shape by utilizing a proprietary mix of nature-based algorithms in coordination with disruption and focal confusion techniques. Put more simply, the relationship between colors and shapes has been specially designed to fool the brain by resembling recurring patterns found in nature. Derived from the golden ratio found throughout the natural world, Specter™, Typha™, Fusion™, and Cipher™ dissolve into their surroundings, unlike anything else.
First Lite Specter, Typha, Fusion, and Cipher are the most versatile patterns available to hunters due to their careful design and ensured concealment no matter the proximity, season, or terrain. Created using the same scientific platform, all four of First Lite's proprietary camo patterns use trademarked technology, which provides equally exceptional concealment at close range and a distance. When it comes to whitetail hunting, First Lite Specter uses the proven technology of its predecessors (Fusion and Cipher) but expresses shapes, colors, and fragmentation unique to the whitetail environment and tree canopy. Similarly, First Lite Typha expresses environmental abstracts consistent with marsh and field environments fit for the waterfowl hunter.

First Lite Comouflage Technology

First Lite Fusion

FUSION™

Fusion has become the most trusted pattern in breakup camouflage. From western lichen, sage, and pine to eastern deciduous hardwoods, the Fusion pattern and color palette are engineered to excel in a vast array of landscapes. Hunters virtually disappear into their surroundings at any distance – short or long – lending confidence and near-perfect stealth, whether in the trees or on an alpine ridge.

First Lite Cipher

CIPHER™

First Lite's Cipher pattern leverages the proven working principals of Fusion and applies them to landscape palettes with less color. Cipher emphasizes the narrower color spectrum found during the autumn and winter months in both hardwood and western environments. With its muted coloration and Fusion-inspired DNA, Cipher is a deadly weapon in every hunter's arsenal.

First Lite 37.5™ Technology

More Breathability Means You Stay Drier than the Competition

When First Lite engineered their Outerwear Collection, they looked closely at every fabric technology in existence. Having the pick of the litter, from better-known outerwear technologies to more niche, lesser marketed performance fabrics. The truth in outerwear manufacturing is that the brand in question can generally use whichever fabric they choose. The costs vary as does the performance, but if a brand is willing to pay for the best, they can choose to incorporate it into their offerings. First Lite chose 37.5 because third party empirical testing as well as extensive field use their our own employees left them greatly impressed by the superior performance of the fabric. The bottom line is that 37.5 breathes at a rate that is anywhere from 50% to 300% better than any of its competition, while offering waterproof levels that were within a 5% tolerance of our competition.

First Lite's DNA is active, extremely vigorous mountain hunting. Based in the Rocky Mountains and literally testing products year round in some of the steepest, most demanding terrain in North America. Breathability becomes paramount when you're climbing significantly steep, rugged slopes with heavy packs in less than ideal weather conditions. If you sweat under your outerwear and the fabric doesn't allow that moisture to escape, you might as well expose your base layers to the elements and skip the outerwear all together. 37.5 technology does the absolute best job of transporting that moisture from your base layers to the outside of the First Lite garment so that you can remain safe and dry while exerting yourself in the most brutal of weather conditions. This is why First Lite selected 37.5 Technology over other fabrics and has enjoyed award-winning products ever since.

The Science behind 37.5 Technology

Comfort in clothing is greatly influenced by the temperature and humidity next to skin known as the microclimate. For the average person, the body strives to maintain an ideal core body temperature of 37.5° C. You are most comfortable when the microclimate next to your skin has a relative humidity close to 37.5%. When you are in this ideal 37.5 comfort zone, you are also in your ideal performance zone. 37.5 technology helps your body manage the moisture in your microclimate to keep you in this “37.5 zone” of comfort and performance.

Your body already has the ultimate thermo-regulating system. The perspiration vapor that comes off of skin during activity cools the body when working hard. In fact, each gram of evaporated sweat releases 580 calories of stored heat. Unless this water vapor can be removed from the microclimate, it builds up in clothing, footwear, or gloves and creates a clammy and uncomfortable microclimate. 37.5 technology works to enhance the body’s natural cooling mechanism—the body puts out sweat to cool it down, 37.5 technology removes it from the microclimate.

With 37.5 technology, patented active particles permanently embedded at the fiber level capture and release moisture vapor. Not only do these active particles provide 800% more surface area to the fiber, they also provide a unique driving force to remove moisture vapor unlike any other technology. By actively responding to body heat, the active particles use this energy from the body to accelerate the vapor movement and speed up the conversion of liquid to vapor, significantly increasing drying rates. This means the hotter the user gets, the stronger the driving force removing moisture becomes—and the more comfortable the garment remains.

37.5 technology works to keep the optimum relative humidity in your microclimate so your body more efficiently maintains an ideal core temperature, enabling you to perform better, longer. Fabrics made with 37.5 technology dry up to five times faster than similar fabrics, diminishing wet cling. 37.5 technology is made with naturally derived materials so there are no harsh chemicals to irritate your skin. 37.5 active particles are permanently embedded into yarn and will never wash out or degrade.
